Bhagavad Gita, as we all know, is an ancient word of wisdom spoken directly by Lord Krsna Himself on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It captures the essence of all the scriptures and has been the guiding force for generations since time immemorial. Gita translated by Srila Prabhupada is the most widely used edition across the world and has had a tremendous positive impact transforming millions of lives!
According to CC Madhya 22.128 & 129, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu says ‘Bhagavata Sravana’ is considered one of the 5 most important limbs of devotional service and even a slight performance of this will awaken Love for Krsna!
Keeping this in mind and with a sincere desire to cultivate reading holy scripture and Prabhupada’s purports on a daily basis, we at BMI Bhaktivriksha are announcing ‘15 Minute Gita Conference Call’ initiative. The conference call will be for 15 minutes only between 8.30 – 8.45 PM from Sunday – Thursday. The plan is in each call, one devotee on schedule will read 1 verse prescribed for that day along with translation systematically from Gita and will share some relevant points/realizations and important quotes from Srila Prabhupada’s lectures/purports for that verse. The other participants can also add their points. We encourage devotees to come forward and get yourself added to the schedule and enthusiastically participate in this effort to read Prabhupada books systematically daily.
